Ms. McClure joined Voorsanger Architects PC in 2000. As Project Architect, she has been and is responsible for directing and coordinating numerous projects either for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey or private residences. Some of her recent projects include assisting in design and coordination of additions to Newark International Airport Terminal B for the new passenger Connector Expansions for the Port Authority. The project includes security screening and queuing areas for departing passengers as well as new Lounge spaces. She was also Project Architect for the Port Authority’s Perimeter Enclosure at the World Trade Center site constructed in 2002, followed by work on the Liberty Street Stair and Enclosure projects and the enclosure and site work for the Temporary PATH Station.
Ms. McClure’s institutional experience includes working as Project Architect for the Master Planning Phase of the 24,000 SF Olana Museum and Visitor Center in Hudson, New York. Her residential experience includes houses in Westchester, NY (under construction), the Aspen and Napa residences and presently the new Owner modifications to the Wildcat Ridge Residence.
At a previous firm, she acquired extensive experience working with academic institutions and developing programs while managing projects for the State University of New York and the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she completed a series of Master Plan projects including the Center For Design Innovation. In addition, Ms. McClure was Project Architect on a renovation of the Chatham Square branch of the New York Public Library, which was originally designed by McKim, Mead and White. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia in 1983 and a Master of Science in Architecture from Syracuse University in 1987. Elizabeth received advanced standing in the graduate program at Syracuse, appointed teaching assistant and received Honorable Mention, Contemporary Terra Cotta Competition, 1985 and the Robert W. Cutler Scholarship for Foreign Study, 1986.
