Ronald Reed

Associate, Director of Projects

Mr. Reed joined Voorsanger Architects PC in 2005. As Managing Associate + Director of Transportation and Overseas Projects, Mr. Reed has over eighteen years of experience and skill in planning/design and overall project management of large complex projects for both the public and private sectors. His experience includes aviation and transportation planning, terminal design and renovation; high end mixed-use residential developments and cultural institutions as well as other related large complex building projects. He has also directed several design teams and projects around the New York Metro area, throughout the Continental United States and the World.

In addition to being an expert in Transportation Design and Planning, Mr. Reed continues to develop his skills in historic and modern restorations including numerous traditional residential and commercial projects in New Jersey, Washington D.C., New York and Philadelphia. This fascination with connecting the “dots of history” began while studying the eclectic movement in London in 1992 and later under the tutelage of John Blatteau Associates in Philadelphia. Mr. Reed’s philosophy of connecting the evolution of our past to the modern movement has been of extreme impertinence in shaping his perspective of our built environments today. Traditional New and Renovation Projects include multiple private residences in New Jersey, Riggs Banks in Washington, D.C. and The Field House for Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia, PA to name a few.

Recent projects include collaborative design, development and management of the $400 million Modernization and Expansion of Terminal B at Newark Liberty International Airport for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Managing Associate for MUDON, Dubai, UAE a 3.2 million square foot luxury residential development and most recently the United Arab Emirates National Military Museum in Abu Dhabi. Other recent projects include the PATH Station Entry and Canopy, World Trade Center Site, New York City, and overseeing the ongoing progress of the World Trade Center Artifacts Archive for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Previous Aviation projects include Redevelopment and Modernization Planning for Terminals 2 and 3 at JFK International Airport for Delta Airlines; ARFF for Lehigh International Airport; Terminal and East Concourse Expansion for Bradley International Airport including the varies Airline Fit-outs for Centennial, Delta, Southwest, US Airways and Northwest; Terminal Expansion Planning for TF Green International Airport; Pacific Gateway Air Cargo Facility, Ontario International Airport; Passenger and Baggage Security Expansion Planning for Erie, Bradley and TF Green International Airports; Northeast Corridor Rail Station Airtrain at Newark International Airport.
